It is one of the most popular and most visited seaside resorts on the Adriatic: Riccione - six kilometers of fine, sandy beach (about 150m wide).
The beach slopes gently into the sea and is therefore good for families. Apart from that Riccione is also very popular among teenagers because of the nightlife.
The popular Adriatic resort offers not only sun, beach, sea and fun. The delightful small town (about 35,000 inhabitants) provides a variety of shops (many fashion stores for example).
A delicacy especially for younger guests: Aquafan - the largest water park on an area of 100,000 square meters, with water slides with a total length of 3 km!
It is a curiosity of history that in the early 30s the Mussolinis discovered Riccione for themselves. The dictators wife, Donna Rachele, bought a villa here to spend the summer months at sea. And so, between the two world wars, many prominent politicians and statesmen came to Riccione.
The coastline of the Emilia Romagna from Rimini to Cattolica owes them a tourist boom. In the Villa Mussolini a museum (the first of its kind) was dedicated to tourism and its development.
Today in Riccione it is less about politics, but above all about sun, beach, sea, relax, and: Disco! The turbulent nightlife is very promising. One can dance and do partying until the early morning hours in the various bars, discos and nightclubs.
