The Piazza dei Signori in Treviso is a kind of salon in the city. In fact it reminds of a hall, surrounded by the magnificent facades of government buildings located there.
You don't just go on the piazza. You go there to see and to be seen. So you can stroll here with moderate step to the Dante monument in the center of the square, or retreat into the elegant café of the same name - which was by the way a well known meeting place for writers around the turn of the century.
